1 in 3 women have had an abortion and half of those have suffered repeat abortions. Whether having an abortion was a decision that was made alone or was the result of being coerced, the emotional aftermath has left many women and men carrying an insurmountable burden.
We recognize that those who are carrying the weight of a past abortion has left them feeling alone, isolated and misunderstood. If you have experienced an abortion and have suffered emotionally in any way, you are not alone. You can break free from the silence and the suffering. You can trade in the brokenness for joy.
"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair..."
2 Corinthians 4:7-8
We all have a past.
"It was fear that lead me to have an abortion my senior year of high school. Due to the trauma of having an abortion, my only way to move on was to stuff it and try to convince myself it never happened. After 25 years, I knew God was leading me to a journey of healing. I attended the group and found great support and understanding. I experienced such great freedom from the guilt, shame, and suicidal thoughts that had plagued me. I am grateful for the healing I received, and for the love and grace I experienced from the women in the group and from Jesus.” - A Broken Vessel group member
